We're going back to the future (again)

The even newer XAP Blog @ www.xtremeautoparts.com.au/blog

After a short-lived romance, we've decided to part ways with Blogger for now and re-skin the XAP Blog back at its original home @ http://xtremeautoparts.com.au/blog/. We hope this makes it easier for our visitors to follow us :)

Thanks to our customers and website visitors for your patience while we re-organised the XAP blog, be sure to send us your feedback via Twitter and/or Facebook - we look forward to talking to you.

Cheers!

Around the Web: ReplayXD 1080 Mini

There's plenty of interest out there in ReplayXD's 1080 Mini action sports camera, which offers 1080p Full HD video at 30fps (720p @ 60fps) and high resolution photos along with some of the most regarded XD1080 features, packed into the smallest and lightest HD camera on the market. Let's have a look at some of the video reviews popping up on the web...

Jeff Causey has posted a neat video on Youtube featuring a side-by-side running comparison between the new ReplayXD 1080 Mini to his GoPro 1080 (which was admittedly "3 or 4 years old" at the time of the video, but it's still a worthy comparison). Jeff shoots with the two cameras roof-mounted, both forward and rear-facing. (You might want to turn the sound down a little for this one.)

Prolific photographer TheSnapChick caught up with Brad from ReplayXD at Overland Expo West, held in Flagstaff Arizona in May 2014. SnapChick takes the 1080 Mini for a bit of a spin from 4:50.

And finally for a bit of fun...durability, anyone? This last vid goes back a couple of years and features the old model 1080XD, but it really shows just how tough these little cameras are - Douglas Spotted Eagle decided to test out his ReplayXD camera by running it over with his Dodge Challenger - while the camera was rolling. Please don't try this with your ReplayXD!

Impressive.

Check out the XAP website for more info on the ReplayXD 1080 Mini sports action camera.

XAP October Promotion - Free X-Stack Tearoffs offer

It made sense to bring two of the most purchased products at XAP together in a giveaway, as more of our Bell Helmet customers opt for the X-Stack tearoff system over any other. This month all Bell Helmet purchases come with a free 10-pack of Racing optics X-Stack tearoffs.

Bell BR.1 Helmet - also available in black.
The 2014 Bell Helmet range is proving to be extremely popular and we have sent many across Australia in the past few months, with the Bell BR.1 in particular a massive hit for Bell Helmets right around the racing world.

The BR1 Helmet (available in black or white) is the first model in the industry that can be used as a traditional helmet, side air forced air or top air forced air model and this customisation makes the BR.1 one of the most universally adaptable helmets on the market today.

The X Stack™ 10 is a stack of 10, 2mm thick laminated tearoffs. These freakishly clear laminates create a distortion-free optical lens, making the X-Stack the highest-visibility tearoff on the market today. A 10-pack will be bundled FREE with any Bell Helmet purchase at XAP until November 2014, so now's a great time to take a peek at the 2014 Bell Helmet range.
